Feeling--flushed
Reading-- Eragon by Christopher Paolini
I'm grateful-- to have my brother Jon home

Last year I tried NaNoWriMo...and failed miserably at it. I'm too much of a perfectionist, I found out, to just sit and write for a length of time and not go back and see if what I wrote sounds ok or not. (Even now I'm doing it. *wry look*) This year, as November approached I was sure it was a challenge I wasn't going to repeat, because

  1. I have no new novel idea and
  2. My perfectionist tendency
But I secretly admitted to myself I was going to miss the month-long writing challenge, the knowledge I am participating with and competing against others with the same goal in mind.

Which is why when Emma mentioned there is a similar challenge for bloggers I immediately said: "I can do that," and with excitement, went right away to NaBloPoMo's site and signed up. (It stands for National Blog Posting Month.) I'm really excited about this, because I know it's something I can do. And the only rule is you have to update your blog every day in November. I think this'll be fun; maybe some of you can try it, be a part of the fun. It's only the first, so it's not too late to sign up!
