Thirteen Reasons Why I Now Have Netflix

1) I can watch tv shows and movies (like Wizards of Waverly Place) I haven't been able to find or get my hands on via online stores, like Amazon.com.

2) I can preview new (to me) tv shows or movies to help me decide if they're worth buying on DVD.

3) Netflix is helping me save money, because it allows me access to movies or tv shows I know I want until I can actually afford to buy them.

4) I'm being introduced to new tv shows from around the globe, like H2O: Just Add Water, an Australian teen series about mermaids that's actually pretty awesome.

5) I found Disney's Avalon High, a movie based off of Meg Cabot's book, that I've been wanting on DVD ever since I first saw it on the Disney Channel.

6) I was pleasantly surprised to find the old film, Penny Princess, a movie I saw years ago as a kid and really liked.

7) I found a romantic comedy I'm looking forward to watching on Valentine's Day: I Hate Valentine's Day. (Ha ha.)

8) It lets me watch tv shows or movies I'm sitting the fence on till I can make up my mind on whether or not to buy the DVD...like Bones.

9) It always offers suggestions, to better enhance my viewing experience.

10) I love that I can watch full tv shows or films on my computer!

11) With Netflix, I have an even larger movie selection than just what's on my shelf and in the DVD stand in my living room.

12) I don't have to mess with a DVD, Bluray or VHS player.

13) I just added all 12 seasons of Murder, She Wrote to my Instant Queue!

Tuesday evening I decided to do something bold--for me: I joined Netflix. I'd heard about it from friends for a few years, and then from family members more recently. But I was content with cable tv, Redbox and Amazon.com. Then my friend, Amanda, opened up the Netflix "world" to me. She showed me how a person could watch past seasons of favorite shows on one's computer with just one click. While we were in Boise last weekend we watched episodes of Ghost Adventures, Paranormal State and Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal. She also visits on the weekends from time to time, so we've watched episodes from the third season of My Fair Wedding, and she left her info with me so I could continue to watch shows on Netflix.

However, by this Tuesday, I was wanting to explore more movies or shows, and I didn't want to mess Amanda's account up. So, I decided $7.99 wasn't a bad price and signed myself up!
